Carolyn Pickler (LPCC-S)

Carolyn Pickler is the founder and owner of New Beginnings Counseling. New Beginnings Counseling was born out of Carolyn’s own new beginnings as she was experiencing transitions in her life. The butterfly logo is a symbol of the metamorphosis that happens as we struggle with life experiences that strengthen our wings to fly.
Carolyn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana. She went on to become a high school teacher and later a mother of two children. Carolyn worked for many years as an office manager for a psychology practice. At mid-life Carolyn returned to college to obtain her Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development from Walsh University, North Canton, Ohio.
Carolyn is a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) licensed by the State of Ohio. She is a designated Supervising Counselor allowing her to supervise counselors-in-training.
Carolyn specializes in treating eating disorders and has done so for the past 20+ years. Throughout these years she has had advanced training relating to eating disorders including body image, self harm and trauma.
Carolyn also works with marriage counseling, issues with anxiety and depression and people experiencing personal growth and transitions in their lives.
